#6 Students must vote during the 'Students' Election'.

The vote is power in our life. As a student, we we must vote our choice for the next leader of our university, it's worth taking a few moments to reflect of the meaning of the vote. No matter how much you think you hate to vote, you must vote during students' election. Do you already have voted or not? By the way, I had voted this semester. Why you do not take the advantage during students election? The choice in our hands.

First, students must vote during the students election because it is our responsibility and personal rights. The vote is our voice. What you can do today will be like a seed you will plant that soon you will harvest. If you have no seed do not expect a harvest. The seed is like a vote.

Besides that, the vote can be meaningful changes. Leadership will transform our facilities and necessity. Vote for someone who actually stands a chance of making difference and won't waste another year bringing nothing. We must gain information about the good candidates. Love or hate the good capability of a candidate, it is tho only hope to improving our situation.

Other than that, the vote will determine our best leader. The leader will bring us to be a higher achiever that we are needed as a students. It is our right to demand our leader. Students had protest and fight to secure this right for themselves and others.

Lastly, make better decision from now on to vote during the students election, sure you will get the better option; make better decision from now on, sure you will get the clear vision with your leader. The election day is when we act not for ourselves but for our community. Although campaigns can be small in our university, but students election is when our students can also be bound by hope.

#8 The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

I picked this title to write because this happens quite often to me. If you read this proverb carefully, you will understand how a person tends to see other people's life as happier and more desirable than hers. Let me explain what the grass refers to. It happens when you see your neighbours' garden  is much healthier and greener than yours even when they are not really so.

A lot of times I do compare my artistic talent to others and that usually makes me feels nothing good. I love everything about arts. I've been painting, sketching and stuff like that since i was 6. I've tried to make a comic, but I haven't made one yet. I still remember back then when I was in school, I would participate in every drawing contest held by the school. I often got the second place which I was not really proud of. When I was in form five, my portrait drawing of a historical figure, Al-Khawarizmi had been chosen as the winner of a contest. I felt lucky for I am about to represent my school for a drawing contest in MRSM Jasin. I was incredibly happy at that time knowing I have beat others who send their drawings too. However, a teacher told me that the winner actually should be somebody else. I was chosen only because they didn't have enough space in the hostel for male student so they had to pick me. Hearing that was a big disappointment to me. Am I not good enough?

When I was in Kolej Mara Kulim during my matriculation years, I participated in a contest where I had to draw a historical figure again. I knew this girl named Zahratun Najwa whom I called her 'Lone' because she was a loner. I think she can draw much better than me. Her paintings was awesome. I did envied her so much at that time. She drew some comics too! I picked Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad to draw because he is my idol, and for his contributions  for this country. Also, he has no beard.; it is hard to draw a beard, you know. I did not expect to win the contest because Lone also had taken part, and I thought she was going to be the winner, of course. Luckily, my name was announced as the first place winner. I feel overwhelmingly happy.

I do not agree that the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. I did see so many positive things in Lone that I despised my own piece of arts. I did not see any negative thing about her, so I assumed my piece of arts were ugly if compared to hers. That is not right. Everybody has a hidden talent and it differs from each other. It is special.

Precious Trip in My Life!!

First of all, I would like to express my heartfelt. It gives me great pleasure. This is annual Student Exchange Programme between Kolej Mara Kulim and Sarasit Pithayalai School, Banpong, Ratchaburi, Thailand. The relationship between MARA and Sarasit has come a long way since the small beginnings and many are already talking of the possibility of conducting return trips each year, thus doubling the oppoturnities to learn, build frienships and use English.

Next,to provide an environment in which students can interact and exchange ideas while reinforcing the use of the English language. Besides that, to bring students into contact with different education systems and climates.

A groups of 43 students and lectures from Kolej Mara Kulim visited Sarasit Pithayalai School from 19th to 25th January 2010. They provided us with their meals and give us room to stayed. #5 Lead The Way, Sire

I have to admit, this entry had my brain working. One of the reasons why I posted this entry past the due date...tee-hee.

Now that I had my regular dose of caffeine running and listening to Kpop songs, I think I have an idea.

First of all, I didn't think the statements are wrong, for this category is a little subjective. Okay, maybe it is more than 'a little' subjective. After all, leadership is one of the very important aspects in everyday lives, and it could determine life and death by one's choice. (oh, going mellow are we? Well, blame it on the hormones!). Seriously. But in my opinion, people are born with this skills, not made. Why?

Well, I think leadership is a talent. It is something that you can learn, something that you can teach but not something you're born into. Like arts, yes, you can learn how to draw, paint, sculpture and all that jazz but..
"In the end, it doesn't even matter"
                    -Linkin Park, In The End

..okay, forget that random singing. Had too much caffeine I guess. Ahem. My point is, even with proper training of whatever talents...skills you've had, the results won't be as good as the one who're born with it. Now, now...don't be sad and spam my email but it's the truth. I'm not being a pessimist either, just a realist. I'm not saying "Oie, mirror yourself!" but I am mirroring myself. (oh, the pain of irony..)

The fact is that it's not easy to be a leader is a proof that not anyone can be. It's always chosen, wasn't it?. To have that courage to make a decision, I salute to anyone who think they can be a leader and can lead well. Most of you might have said, "What about those people on elections?"

*Gasp*

Leadership can be learn, what's the fuss anyway?

Let Us Fight Crime Together

Every day, we hear a lot of horrendous news about robberies and murders. In particular, snatch theft cases have been on the rise lately. Even some unfortunate victims are lying in a coma and fighting for their lives due to snatch thefts. We have to work together to stop such crimes from happening.

One way to fight crime is by finding ways to avoid snatch thefts. First of all, we must keep our valuables out of sight. Wearing gold  chains, bracelets and diamond rings in plain sight for everyone to see will attract unwanted attention and become sitting ducks for thieves.

Next, ladies who carry handbags have to be extra careful. To avoid it being snatched, it is better to sling the  bags on the shoulder away from the road. This will make it harder for thieves to snatch the bags.

Another way we can avoid snatch thefts is by being smart and alert. Dark streets and alleys are places where most crimes occur. Thus, it is always better to avoid taking shortcuts through deserted streets. We never know who might be waiting for us at the other end.

Most importantly, it is always better and safer to be in the company of others. Having people around us can prevent snatch thefts. If one is alone, it is better to be extra careful by staying away from dark corners, alleys and doorways.

These are some of the ways we can take to avoid snatch thefts. All of us have to work together to fight crime so that our world would be a better place to live in.

Healthy Living

Having a good health is very important in our lives. Without it, we won't able to perform to our maximum capacity. One of the factor that had a major role in having a good health is the nutritions in the food we take.

We must aim to have a balanced diet and to achieve that our meals should contain the correct proportions of meat, fish, carbohydrates, fruit and vegetables. We should eat according to the food pyramid guide. Fruit and vegetables help in reducing the risk of cancer. We must eat more carbohydrates, moderate amounts of protein and less oil food. In addition, we should drink eight glasses of water a day to flush out toxins from our body.

Besides that, proper food hygiene is also important. We must ensure the food we eat is clean. Uncleaned food can make us ill and be the cause for food poisoning, vomiting and diarrhea. We should  cut down on junk food as they are not good for the body. Junk food such as sweets, chocolates and potatoes chips are high in fat and sugar. Fast foods are also not nutritious for they do not have enough vitamins and minerals.

Another important things that we should remember is to avoid eating at dirty places. The food might have been rat and cockroach infested. These eateries contain germs which can contaminate the food and thus, make us ill. In conclusion, we must eat properly to maintain good health. To do that, we need to have balanced meals, eat less junk food and have proper hygiene.

#7 I AM AWESOME!!!!

Of course I am.

Well, that might have sound like I was bragging but I believe in what I believe. I remember the chat I used to have with a counselor in the counseling room back then when I was in matriculation - not that I was always there for trouble, mind you, it was the only place that has air-condition and television, so I crashed there often - and he said that "If no one wants to praise you, then you should praise yourself."

I repeat. I never meant it that it is okay to brag, but it's okay to share.

I'm talking about self-esteemed issue here...and I know that's not the point of this entry. So, I'm going to cut this short. My top five awesome list...and the nominees are...

#5 : The Fur of Happiness
I'm talking about pets here, guys. My cats and kittens. Now, I know some people have some serious issues with feline and to those who never a fan of these walking fur ball, no offense but I really loved animals, especially cats. And my cats are awesome enough to pose for the camera!

This is Pocky, and I can't believe she knew how to pose for camera.

And here is Mix. She is as you see her now.

#4 : Room Of Doom?
Yes, my room is that awesome. Its neither tidy nor has that you're-in-a-room feeling since mine looked like a storehouse, furthermore I slept on the floor. But it's the first thing I would ever think of whenever the word 'home' popped in my brain. I might let you take a peek inside...and it's nothing to worry though, my room is completely harmless to health.

I made that makeshift rack myself, and you guessed it right if you said there a computer underneath it all. It fell like avalanche, once.
Another dark corner in my room, see...everything's here. (I'm thinking of setting up a mini library...it'd be more awesome)

#3 : The People I've Met...From Acquaintance To Best Friend
I wonder if people were also things...well, people do things so I guess people are things. Eh? And sometimes we do refer to certain annoying people as 'that thing'. Most of the people I've met...I think they are awesome in many ways as we all are individuals. Call me a geek or whatever you wanted but I would really like to have my friends come over and we'll watch superheroes movies or man with supernatural power or aliens! (like I Am Number 4 movie, here's a link or you can watch it below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oP6zhpST3Ro) and role-playing them in Facebook.

#2 : Photographer In Training!
Hahaha...this one got me excited. I could never or ever will be imagine myself as a photographer but I do like taking photographs and hates to be photographed. One of the things I would put in my 'File Of Awesomeness' in the pictures I've taken with my cell phone's camera (I never had that enough money to buy a decent DSLR =_="). Here's some that I like to share..

And here is the one we've been waiting for..

#1 : ME!

Surprising enough it's not surprising anymore...err, ignore what's that supposed to mean. By now everyone should know me. I should have include Fatin and Izzati here but I don't feel like Google-ing their picture without permission, so...here I am, but kudos to you guys too. Both of you are awesome for letting me spouting my illogical sense here.
